Mary Snyder is a slightly frazzled, but usually optimistic dreamer who loves the Lord and life. Wife to her best friend, Vaughn and Mom to two incredible young women – Charity & Paige — Mary is blessed by a fun and funny family. She’s also blessed by a troop of girlfriends that range from women who live down the street to women who live across the country. Mary sees some of these girlfriends almost every day and others she’s never met face to face. These friendships have come from a wide array of places — shared history, Bible studies, blogging world, facebook friendships, and twitter tweets. All are precious and all are girlfriends of grace.

A published author, Mary’s latest work, Girlfriends, God, and Grace: How to Have a Great Girlfriend Adventure is looking for a new home after her publisher canceled the book during a layoff (of employees and books). Mary has written for national, regional, and local print magazines as well as for a variety of websites. She is also the co- author of You Can Afford to Stay Home with Your Kids which appeared in 1999.

Mary is the head Getaway Girl for Premier Christian Cruise’s Girls’ Get A Way Cruise. She writes the blog, interviews the speakers, authors, comedians, and musicians and gives away tons of prizes. Her favorite part is hanging out with all the Getaway Girls on the ship. Mary thinks this is possibly the best blogging job ever!

Mary is the blogger for the brand, new Extraordinary Women Conferences blog and she is honored to be in this role. Extraordinary Women conferences reach thousands upon thousands of women each year. These conferences are life- changing for so many and Mary is humbled to be a small part of this amazing ministry.
A published author, Bible study teacher, adventurer, and engaging speaker, Mary delivers the truth of the hope, joy and adventure in Christ wrapped in humor and love.

Facebook Friends, Twitter Tweets, and Blogging Buddies:
The Blessings of Online Friendships

It’s started as just a blog, a place for me to chatter on about friends, family, faith, fun, and all manner of stuff. I never thought that this little foray into social networking would change my life, my heart and my ministry, but it did.

Join me as I share the adventure of finding and building friendships online. With John1:17-19 as our scripture reference, we’ll talk about the blessing of friendship, the goodness of Christ Jesus, and the common sense needed for online relationships.
