October 14, 2010 will be our first annual Online October Memorial Service. The service will honor the memory of the babies lost by the families who have participated in and completed our online grief support class. The memorial service will be held in a large online conference room, and you will need to provide your name and email address in order to receive the invitation code to enter the conference. Anyone is welcome to attend the service, and we encourage you to invite your friends and family to join in as well. The services will begin at 6:00 pm central. We will have guest speakers, a time for candle lighting, and a video presentation. Mommytography 101: Teaching Mom’s to take better Pictures ~ $65
This three hour workshop is hosted by Tracy of Shots From the Heart Photography to teach Mom’s how to use their cameras {or what to look for in a new one} and how to take better pictures! This is a live on-line workshop. You will watch Tracy use Photoshop and be shown the basics, from setting your workspace up and creating a workflow, to cropping, and basic editing. This one hour bible study hosted by Mia Sarah Douglas will be geared towards married mothers ages 19-39. It is held bi-weekly on Mondays at 7pm CST/ 5pm PST. Walking through the silent hallways of your house as the family lay in bed fast asleep, checking on each room and noticing how precious and angelic your children are and how your deserving husband captures a moments rest, you think to yourself, “How come I don’t feel these sentiments when they are awake?”
Ministering to our husband and children during an age when we are still learning who we are as a woman can be a challenge. Keeping consistent in our roles while we live out daily physical, social, and emotional changes is a real life experience. Embrace and walk in the authentic meaning of JOY (Jesus Others You) as we learn how our ministry as Wife and Mother is the greatest calling on our lives.
Anchored by Hope Online Bible Study is a study for women who have experienced miscarriage, stillbirth, or early infant loss. The workbook is called Threads of Hope, Pieces of Joy, by Teale Fackler and Gwen Kik. It has “been designed to sensitively minister to the needs of individuals or groups who have experienced a pregnancy loss through miscarriage, stillbirth or any form of early infant death. This study was birthed as the authors themselves sought comfort in the midst of their own pregnancy losses.
Among many other related topics, the study uses the Scripture to explore such questions as:
* Where do I go to find truth?
* Where does life come from?
* Why was my baby too weak to live?
* Where is my child now?
* Can I ever understand why?
* How can God help me deal with losing my baby?”

Butterfly Mommies is a support group/network of mommies living with the loss of a child through miscarriage, stillbirth, and early infant loss. Each month we meet together to talk about where we are on our journey. The website is a collection of networking blogging butterfly mommies, and their blog links. Although each has been categorized by gestational time of loss, you will be surprised with how very similar the grieving process is for them all.
